ABOUT MRS. AYLER

I grew up in Arvada, Colorado, a small suburb of Denver, Colorado.  I attended Ralston Valley High School where I was very active in the choir and performing arts program.  I then attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO where I studied Biology with an emphasis in Secondary Education.  I later earned my Masters Degree from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ, where I studied the Art of Teaching.  I am currently working on my second Masters Degree at Montana State University in Educational Leadership.

After I graduated from UNC in 2007 I accepted a position teaching Chemistry, Earth Science, Biology, A&P, and Forensics at Platte Valley High School in Kersey, CO.  During that time I met my, now husband, Matt.  He and I moved back to Arvada and were married in 2012.  Due to our move, I had to leave my teaching position at PVHS, and I accepted a position teaching 7th and 8th grade science at Mapleton Expeditionary School of the Arts (MESA) in Thornton, CO.  There is where my passion for teaching science through the view of art grew.  I learned so much about making an arts integrated classroom, and feel now, that it is vitally important for my students.

Matt and I decided to move to Montana in 2014 to explore something new, and we have loved it ever since.  We live in Belgrade with our four furry babies, three dogs, Maka, Griswold, & Bindi and our cat, Irie.  They are our pride and joy!

At Park High I teach Chemistry, Earth Science, and Human Form & Function.  As I said before, I believe that art and science go hand in hand.  I am constantly changing my curricula to meet the needs of today's learners, and incorporate STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art Mathematics).  I absolutely love teaching at PHS, and truly believe that these are the best kids I've ever worked with.  We have a lot of fun, but learn a lot of in-depth science!

I believe that the best way to help students meet success is to make assistance available.  Therefore, I always have an open door, and am open to communication.  So please do not hesitate to email me with any questions or concerns.
